Results. How to get them, how to measure them.
As we all know, coaching helps to identify problem areas and make tangible improvements that serve the needs of organisations as well as individuals.
So how does coaching lead to results? Research shows that it helps to improve individual performance in at least four ways:
• Greater self- and contextual-awareness.
• Greater understanding of others.
• Enhanced ability to communicate.
• Enhanced ability to coach others.
Once you have experienced the value of coaching for your own development, you will be much more prepared to notice and leverage coaching opportunities with others.
In this edition we focus on Results: how to get them, how to measure them. In my view, when coaching doesn’t lead to actions and results, coaching did not take place; we just had pleasant conversations. And that is not why people hire us.
